how do I set up my PC to scan from my remote printer

my remote printer says to set my pc to scan a document I want to save as a jpeg to my desktop. walk me thru it?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 8.4

Have you tried Applications/Image Capture or VueScan?
